Emergency vehicles must move across and through congested traffic corridors, and Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) safely stops opposing traffic and frees traffic movement ahead of the emergency vehicle. Safer, smoother, and shorter response times go up while liability, fleet maintenance, fuel costs, and response times go down.
